Waukesha South athlete Jennie Evans set the 100m HH record of 14.60 in 1988. Homestead junior Marissa Savitch [above] broke that record by posting a 14.52 in the D1 HH finals on Saturday, June 5. Savitch is pictured below pulling away from second place finnisher Sherice Hewett who is a senior at Milwaukee Vincent. Hewett had a time of 14.80.

Amelia Campbell [Above in the preliminaries - red jersey] a sophomore from Sturgeon Bay won the 100m HH D2 event in one of the closest races at the State Meet. Her time of 15.26 narrowly edged out second place finisher Asia Cheeks [15.29] of Brown Deer and third place medal winner Jessica Will [15.30] of Omro.
