
Allie Woodward Helps Ducks To National Title

Woodward who is majoring in journalism at Oregon was named the 2012 PAC 12 Co-Freshman of the year prior to running [as the #4 Oregon runner] for Oregon's D1 NCAA Champion Cross Country team.
At the National XC Meet Woodward finished 44th as the Ducks took home the NCAA D1 Championship.
In last seasons outdoor track and field season Woodward became an All-American in two events. In the NCAA Championships 10,000m race she ran the fastest time for a Duck in 28 years [putting her at #2 on the all-time University of Oregon 10,000 list] and finished 5th.
She also finished 13th in the 5,000m race at the D1 NCAA 2012 Outdoor Championships as the Ducks finished second to National Champion LSU.
Woodward has posted quite a few frequent flyer miles since leaving high school. She has competed in the Pan American Junior Championships in Miramer Florida, the IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain, the 2012 NCAA Track and Field Championships at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and the 2012 NCAA Cross Country Championships held in Louisville, Kentucky.
As a Wisconsin High School runner Woodward set the D2 record in the 3200m run at the 2011 State Meet. Her performance of 10:11.48 is the best D1, D2, and D3 time ever at Wisconsin's State Meet.
