D1 400m Dash

Wausau West sophomore [L] Brooke Jaworski broke the 400m dash record of 54.33 which she set at the 2016 State Meet with a time of 54.27 in the prelims. In the Saturday finals on an extremely hot day she turned on the afterburners and set a record with a time of 53.71. A talented field behind her also turned in outstanding times.

Walker and Stubler who are seniors left everything on the track in their last State Meet individual 400m race.


D1 200m Dash

Brooke Jaworski successfully defended her 200m 2016 Dash Title. However senior Grace Hartman from Wisconsin Rapids almost pulled off the win. Hartman recorded a 24.75 as Jaworski needed an incredible finish to win in 24.65.

D2 100m Dash

Milwaukee Lutheran sophomore Ja'Cey Simmons [left] defended the 100m title she won at the 2016 State Meet. Simmons recorded a 12.42 in finals.

Shell Lake senior Nicole Mikula [left] qualified last in the 200m dash. She turned that inside out with a Gold Medal finish from Lane 10 [26.90 in prelims, 26.16 in finals].
