The long and triple jump winners recorded impressive early season performances. In the long jump [above left] Milwaukee Rufus King junior Makayla Jackson came within one inch of Brookfield East's Allie Bullen's record of 19' 01 set in 2016. Jackson's 19' 00 jump is shown above left.

In the long jump and triple jump Waukesha South senior Armoni Brown [above right] recorded distances of 18' 09 and 38' 04.75. Brown's record setting jump in he triple jump event broke the record of 37' 01.75 set in 2006 by Milwaukee King's Laquita Brazil. Madison La Follette teammates Kiara Lee [38' 01.50] and Tyra Turner [37' 02.50] also surpassed the old record.
