If you blinked during heat 8 of the 55m dash prelims then you probably missed the meet record set by Milwaukee King sophomore Amari Brown. Brown is shown in the prelims [above left] where she posted a scorching time of 6.99. This broke the meet record of 7.26 set by Micaela Pryor [Waukesha North, 2017] and Azya McLin [Wauwatosa West, 2014]. Brown is shown above center in the finals which she won in 7.08. DSHA sophomore Jadin O'Brien posted a 7.26 in placing 2nd in the finals. Waukesha South's Armoni Brown [above right] was 3rd in 7.36

Amari Brown from Milwaukee Rufus King is shown in lap 1 of the 400m dash event. She posted a 58.09 to record her second record of the day. Her time beat the old record of 58.62 set by Sussex Hamilton's Bianca Stubler in 2016..

Watertown's Kylie Jacobs was 4th in the 400m

Brookfield East's Kayla LaFontain was 7th in the 400m and Mukwonago's Kaylee Beyer was 6th

Start of the final heat of the 1600m L-R: Libby Geisness [Waukesha South, 14th], Taya Herrera [Waukesha South, 5th], Kylie Hagmann [Woodstock, IL, 4th], Mara Bajic [Kettle Moraine, 3rd], winner Meghan Scott [Divine Savior Holy Angels, 5:09.16], and second place finisher Peyton Sippy from Janesville Craig. At the 2016 State D1 XC Meet Scott was Champion and Sippy was 4th. At the 2017 State XC Meet Sippy was Champion while Scott finished in 5th. Scott and Sippy staged an exciting race at Whitewater with Scott pulling ahead in the last lap and a half to post the win.

Behind a strong finish by anchor Clare Pitcher the Sabers from Franklin posted a 10:19.01 to win the 4x800m relay event. Janesville Craig which finished second recorded a 10:20.10.
