Shorewood High School Preseason Preview

Monday, April 19, 2021. D2 Shorewood High School

Finally! Finally track and field athletes can start a season. An emergency state order stopped extracurricular activities on March 18th, 2020. Then the 2020 Regular Season was canceled by the Stay At Home Order issued on Tuesday, April 16. That effectively ended the school year. Athletes at Shorewood and other schools in Wisconsin have now started the 2021 season after a year of no inter-school competitions. This week Wisconsin Track Online will observe several practices through a telephoto lens in order to show the beginning of the 2021 season. After a great weekend of weather the sun disappeared and the temperatures dropped as Day 1 got underway. After a short pre-practice meeting in the bleachers coach Dominic Newman and his team got to work. The athletes above dressed for the cold weather that met the Day 1 practice.
